Over twelve hours of driving through some epic thunderstorms and crazy-ass Missouri country-side. We battled keeping the insane amount of gear we had with us dry, it was a crazy crazy intense day and we plan to do it again very soon...project as yet unfinished...

...okay, so, you remember how i wanted to do a trade with you? well, i think i want to do it for one of these instead.
because miss hlavac, though she says she has no words, seems to have chosen some great ones: holy fuck.
i would like to add these: OMG lighting.
also, though you may have lost the panorama competition, these images are miraculously topping Dusty's (sorry Dusty) - which is weird for me to say, because i'm generally an enormous fan of his.
i remember last night Steve saying something to you about using the same pose as you used in one of your pieces for the show, and you said something about these not being part of that... i definitely agree that these are completely different. for obvious surface reasons (lack of [the same type of] sky, nighttime, rain, use of strobes, etc) but those elements create an entirely different atmosphere (and thus many different directions interpretation can go). i don't really know how long you've been working on these levitated figures, but i see a definite evolution from what you showed at mid semester, the pieces you're putting in your show, to this. i don't mean evolution in the sense that it's "better" than before, i just mean that i like how the concept is moving. and i think there are many directions you have yet to go in, that you probably will go in, that will be awesome.

well god damn, i wrote a hell of a lot!
when i'm blazed, i can think of a lot to say.
and i'm high as hell right now!
