Wow lack of posting....

Ive been slack in a way and ignoring this for posting stuff! I have been working over the last week for the University of Otago doing a whole raft of photographs for their upcoming add campaign...my photos are going on billboards yo! I'm going to post the images up here tomorrow. Stay Tuned.

Also...Thanks for that artist Amanda! Her images look amazing in this series below...

Rosmary Laing:

These works seem to be a series but i cant find the name...or her website. Going to look hardout soon.

This is her "Weather Series" that Amanda Recomended to me:

These are pretty dam cool. I like the total lack of horizon and the freaky nature of the space that these people are in...falling but what way? The paper(?) adds another crazy level to it. I makes the viewer wonder even more about what is going on here! I like the dark one as well...although there is something that seems creepy and inherently dark about these images.

Hi Alex, Rosemary Laing is an australian artist, I think Neil Emmerson has a print of hers, you should ask him about it so you can see a 'real' one. I saw her weather series in Sydney at the last Biennale,(08). I think they were at the MCA (another place to look for info) and what was most exciting about this was that as well as the beautiful and very large works there was a case that had her original drawings of her ideas. Then looking back at the works you can see the fantasy/unreality element that could only come from another mdeia (such as drawing) rather then a photographic perspective, perhaps. This is very interesting in light of your recent work with drawing/photography and the representation of the world as 'reality' in your work.
